On July 24th (Pioneer Day), Lucy celebrated her second birthday.
The whole week before her birthday she sang herself the 'happy birthday to you' song.
We decorated the house with streamers and balloons-she loved it.
We also went to the carousel and rode horses, played in the splash park, and went to the nature park to feed the ducks!
She got a birthday princess button that she wore around proudly.
We were very impressed when she was able to blow out the candles all by herself! We have this plate that we painted with her name on it that we used last year for her cake and plan on using it every year for her birthday (until she moves out of the house-then she can take it to college with her if it makes it that long...) We don't know if it is that cool for Lucy, but we get excited about it!
I think the birthday plate idea is so cute! That's totally something that I would get excited about.
