So Saren has finally reached the long awaited age to be able to go to nursery at church!! We have yet to enjoy the benefits though because we've been traveling and Saren's been sick. Hopefully in the next few weeks, once we're settled back down in Rexburg we'll be able to enjoy a whole lesson during Sunday School... we'll see. Because her older sister Lucy is already in there I don't think she will have a problem going, I'm just afraid they might have problems fighting...? But we're excited!

Saren Riding a Horse
When they put her close to the horse to pet it, she grabbed two big handfuls of hair... poor horsey. Look close and you can see the hair in her hands...

Saren said "Papa"!
Today as I sitting on the couch reading for a class, Saren climbed up to standing on the side of the couch and said, "Papa" clear as anything. I called Tristan in and told Saren to "say Papa" again. She looked up at me and said it again perfectly. (She already can say "Mama" but this was a special day for me.) Fatherhood is so cool.

Saren
I guess there has been more to say about Saren lately because she is growing and changing so much and so fast. She just got her first tooth a week or two ago and just before that she started pulling herself to standing. She can now pull herself up to anything and even walk from one thing to another if her hands can reach that far. She even can push Lucy's stroller around if there is weight in it (otherwise she'll just fall on her face because the stroller goes faster than she can). Lucy loves that Saren can stand now and even tries to help her to walk by holding her hand. Saren wants to be just like Lucy I think. They are so much fun together. I can't believe that I will have two walking little girls in a matter of months... I can't believe how much little ones can learn in such a little amount of time. It is kind of inspiring to be a part of!
Saren's First Campout
We love camping!! We went to a local park and camped out with our BYU-I ward. It was great!
Tom and our wonderful tent! (big enough to put two play pens and a queen sized mattress, we like to camp comfortably I guess)
Saren after a long night of listening to Lucy scream her head off. She did great considering..
This is Lucy and her friend Elijah. He came camping with us because we were babysitting him for the week. Lucy and him get along so well, they are so funny to watch.

Saren is a crawler
Some of you already know because we've told you, but Saren is all over the place now because she knows how to crawl. She started by rolling over and twisting to get what she wanted about a month and a half ago, then learned to get up on her elbows and army crawl to get things even farther, and now she is up on her hands and knees and sometimes her feet to go where ever she wants. It's pretty exciting but now I have to be extra careful about what is lying on the ground not just close to her but in the whole house because she will find it. She particularly loves anything paper... the other day she got a hold of one of Lucy's books and ripped out an entire page and started sucking on it.

Saren in the Hospital
This week we had a little adventure with Saren. After Lucy was so sick last weekend, Saren caught the virus and got sick herself. She had a really high fever at home (102.4 degrees) on Wednesday morning and so our doctor told us to take her to the emergency room. Once there, the doctors decided that she would need to stay the night to make sure she didn't get worse. Turns out that she had the virus known as RSV with a little bit of bronchitis. Since Saren is so young, and so small, she was at high risk if her symptoms worsened. She had to get connected to an IV, have oxygen levels monitored, and stay at the hospital for two nights. Tristan stayed with her the entire time. While she was at the hospital, Saren was kind of sober, almost like she was bored. On the second day, when her sister Lucy came to visit she really lit up. Lucy made her smile and laugh a lot. Saren really loves watching Lucy and Lucy loves trying to make her smile. Saren is doing fine now and looks like she is getting over the virus for the most part. We are so lucky that we have two healthy and beautiful little girls!
